Summary: On October 1, 2012 the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and Malviya Nagar Water Services Private Limited (Operator), a special purpose company set up by the consortium of Suez Environnement India Pvt Ltd1 and SPML Infra Limited2, signed an agreement to design, build, and operate the Pilot Project for Improving the efficiency of water Distribution Network under Malviya Nagar UGR command area. DJB awarded the work to the Operator for a capital cost of Rs.171.62 crore in two years and gross Operation and Maintenance(O&M) payment on the basis of negotiated gross operator rate at Rs.10.64/cum (cubic meter) billed and paid volume for 12 years. The actual amount for this O&M payment would be linked to the achievement of committed technical, commercial, energy efficiencies, and other performance indicators
