This book is divided in several chapters, each of which covers an important step/topic in the process of acquisition of land. Each chapter contains complete information about the respective chapters. Relevant sections, rules are reproduced in the footnote for the ease of the readers. Not many judgments have been delivered by the Supreme Court on this new Act, however, important ones have been included. This book is aimed to serve as a handbook for persons/Companies desiring to acquire land for industrialization, urbanization and infrastructure development. The process of acquisition is initiated with preliminary notification for acquisition, followed by Social Impact Assessment.
